About me

My enjoyment of  the great outdoors began at an early age,  stimulated by this I moved from precision engineering to gardening in my early 20s attaining  knowledge and experience both academically and in the "field"

I started my own business which eventually became a highly successful company with a turnover in excess of £150K,. This was based on providing professional garden maintenance locally, also offering hard, soft landscaping and design services in South Manchester and Cheshire East.

During that time I taught NVQ Amenity Horticulture Levels 1 & 2 for City College Manchester, also for Manchester City Council working on the “New Deal” programme. The latter was very rewarding as some of the candidates attained the qualification and gained employment at the end of the scheme also, I was working with a great team !

During the past 40 years I have gained a vast knowledge of sites, plants and how to bring out the best in both. Designed and worked on many hard and soft landscaping projects overcoming all manner of problems.

After stepping back from running the business I can now offer my experience to a wider market, be it remotely (pictures, videos, phone consultation) or if required on-site visits. I am confident I can overcome problems, help you improve your garden thereby achieving your ideal outside space.
